Internet Cafe
I am new to the Boston area, coming from Colorado Springs, and haven’t liked too much of what I’ve seen thus far. One thing, or place, that has cought my eye in a good way is Panera Bread, located in the old arsenal buildings in Watertown. I must admit this is the first Panera Bread I’ve been in, so perhaps all of them share the qualities I enjoy here. What is it that makes Panera a great place to me? Free internet access, outlets to recharge your laptop, and good coffee with free, self-serve refills. Panera is my new internet cafe. My old cafe, Barnes and Noble/Starbucks, has better coffee, but it costs more and the internet access isn’t free, well, at least at the Barnes and Noble off Boylston Street near the Chestnut Hills mall, where, after a good search of the place, I found there were no outlets to plug my laptop into. I don’t want to bash Barnes too badly, as it has always been a favorite for me, but Panera bread takes the cake on the internet cafe platter. If you have never checked out a Panera Bread, as I hadn’t, it may be worth your time to give any of there locations a try, just not their Arsenal location, as I like the ease of finding a seat. I you do however choose my location, street-front parking proves hard to nab, but there is a public parking building right across the street.
